Data-Glass® produces optical fibers in Leppävirta, Finland. Our modern production units consists of two fiber drawing towers including quality assurance laboratory with spooling, inking and tight-buffering capabilities. Our customers are cable manufacturers in Finland, Europe and Far-East

Multimode fibers
Multimode fibers are best suited for communications with short to medium range of distance, for instance LAN ( Local Area Network).

Singlemode fibers
Singlemode fibers are designed to carry large amounts of information in long haul and MAN (Metropolitan Area Networks).

Tight-buffering fibers
Tight-buffering is used to give the optical fiber mode protection against mechanical stress and moisture, yet making the fiber easy to handle.

Services
Our services include inking of fibers as well as tight buffering of fibers. We also draw specialty fibers for customers.

Our quality management system has been upgraded to meet the latest ISO 9001:2000 standard. Data-Glass® was certified 9001:2000 January 13th.2004.
